[TL;DR] Is global warming denialism a prime example of our failed public education system?

If you have the attention span of a goldfish and aren't going to bother reading this, leave now instead of telling me about it.

No Child Left Behind, my a**, Bush. Great job making sure America continues to devolve back to the Middle Ages. It was one of the best things you did to appeal to all the morons who voted for you. I propose a new program in its place: %26quot;Foolish Undeserving Children Are Too Stupid%26quot; Act, or %26quot;FUCATS.%26quot; Pronounce it however you want.

Intelligent Design Creationists have demonstrated against the SCOTUS on numerous occasions that education shouldn't be a state issue, by getting perpetually laughed out of court. Let's ratify a new Amendment

Here are some of my new federal changes to the general public curriculum. I would like to see something to the effect of %26quot;Elementary Logic,%26quot; %26quot;Adult Debate 101,%26quot; and %26quot;Critical Thinking Skills%26quot; classes, which I would require to be mandatory for all high school students to pass satisfactorily pending their graduation. It's kind of like a useful version of the California High School Exit Exam.

Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster that Obama's administration are cracking down and emphasizing science and math education to our children by tossing some of the stimulus into our ridiculously broken schools.

Kids these days sometimes don't even go on to college without accepting science that is so undebatable, so sure-fire and universally agreed upon in the science world, it makes me embarrassed that these people exist.

Never mind that there are mountains of peer-reviewed evidence collected during the last several decades (before Al Gore was even born), or the fact that not a single national or international body of panelists has maintained a dissenting opinion since anthropogenic climate change became the consensus in 2007. Its observable effects are all around us, and have been for quite some time. It would be like denying microbiology, evolution, or gravity.

But it's all a hoax, right? Give me a break.

You wouldn't leave your (large place of congregation) and refuse to come back just because one or two people had bad manners during dinner.

All it takes, if you want real proof now, is to simply type %26quot;Maldives%26quot; into Google. Read about how global warming is already affecting this island nation (due to the rising sea level caused by melting sea ice [see source below for video made from time-lapse NASA photos of the Arctic]). There are many examples like this

Drinking more kool-aid, lemming. It's all liberal fraud. I'm sorry you've been hibernating for the last months due to all of the record snow.

Did you hear that ships are stranded in the Baltic due to so much ice? Yeah, there's no ice in the polar regions...LOL![TL;DR] Is global warming denialism a prime example of our failed public education system?

The NOAA site is very good too. To me they're like an ostrich with it's head in the sand. I suppose we could blame education but there's more to it. Not sure exactly.
