Will ab workouts help tone my belly (picture included)?

i recently started using the video %26quot;8 minute abs%26quot;

i do 25 mins a day on exercise bike but ive been doing it for ages and it doesnt do anything to my stomach

and i also recently started doing pilates

ive read answers to people asking if ab workouts will work but you say that you first need to get rid of the fat, but i dont think i have THAT much fat on my stomach, or do i?



will the ab workouts tone by belly?

i have 2 months to get it flat and ive always ate healthy so there is no change in diet needed for me



i usually do the 8 min abs 2 times a day



also how long will it take for me to start noticing a difference

Work your abdominal muscles with a variety of exercises, reps and weight to ensure that you are doing everything necessary (from a training standpoint) to achieve a tight midsection. Have you already been doing this without progress? Then the answer lies in your nutritional program. That will be tackled in another article. If you are in decent shape and have no physical limitations, give this good ab workout a try.







Crunches (legs straight in air) 25 reps



Crunches (legs in air, knees bent at 90 degrees) 25 reps



Stationary Crunch with Bicycle Kicks 25 reps



Crunches (knees bent, feet flat on floor) 25 reps







If one lap through this circuit is not enough, then go through the entire routine one or two more times. Train your abs as often as 4-5 times each week but, just like any other muscle, not if they are still sore from the previous workout. Finally, remember that proper nutrition is probably more important than the actual good ab workout - we all have a six-pack already, we just can't see it yet! Consistent training and dedication to your diet will change all that.

I am unable to view pics for some reason but here is what worked for me. Flutter kicks!!! It is a military excersize that they make you do in boot camp and it flattens the belly, butt, and thighs. Lie on your back and place your hands under your behind. Lift your chin to your chest. Now kick(in rythm) your feet 6 inches off the floor without touching the floor up and down. In the military they count 123-1, 123-2, 123-3 and so on. You will feel it almost instantly on your abs. Good Luck.

The best way to get a flatter stomach is to watch what you eat. Eat fewer calories during the day. Eat most of your carbs during the day, eat about every 3 hours or so to keep your metabolism going which will help as well. Run, ride a bike do ab workouts, etc..... just make sure to get protein in as well which will help your abs develop! Also, try to eat as many plain foods as possible ex. grilled chicken with no sauces! it could take one week or it could take a month, just depends on how hard you push yourself! just make sure not to starve yourself, that is the worst thing that you could possibly do! by the way, your picture doesn't come up! you can always try bodyspace.bodybuilding.com, for helpful tips!Will ab workouts help tone my belly (picture included)?
I would however recommend a large medicine ball that you would lie on (on your back) and do crunches that way. Also, any type of crunches that you can do while lying on your back (on the ground) -like the bicycle- really work the muscles great, and you shouldn't need any other equiptment. Anyway, the most important factor in toning your abs in diet. A low calorie diet, with adequate nutrition, will be the final step in seeing the tone you're hoping for. do swimming n also other exercises as usual...It wil take some time for the effect to be seen..be regular in the workout...
